World Backgammon Championship Coming UpThe biggest event in the world of professional backgammon world is coming soon to Monte Carlo. The 2007 World Backgammon Championship will take place at the Fairmont hotel on the week between July 7 and July 15, 2007.
2007 Monte Carlo Backgammon Championship is scheduled to begin on Saturday July, 7 with complimentary tournaments and will end on Sunday, July 15, 2007 with the World Championship Finals, followed by a Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception.
Entry fees to the Monte Carlo Backgammon Championship range from 200Euro to beginners 1000Euro to contestants that run for the Championship. The entry fees will be added to the prize pool and be paid to the winners.
Monte Carlo Backgammon Championship is a long time tradition that runs for over 30 years. In 2006, Dutch backgammon player Philip Vischjager won the title.
