Won Backgammon Championship on his first Backgammon Tournament

Backgammon player Arie Bornstein won the 2007 American Backgammon Tour on his first national backgammon tournament

Arie Bornstein of Florida made history last week by taking over one of the best backgammon players in the world in the last stop of the 2007 ABT on his first major tourney. 

Florida man Arie Bornstein is the new American backgammon champion, after outplaying Paul Weaver in the last stop of the 2007 American Backgammon Tour. For Bornstein the backgammon tournament was the first experience in major events. Paul Weaver, the semi-finalist is a veteran backgammon player as well as a celebrated backgammon author.

The American Backgammon Tour is an annual tradition purposed to promote professional backgammon throughout the US. The ABT consists of a series of tournaments all around the country, with every tournament points are added to the total prize. The ABT winner is the backgammon player who's been placed well in many tournaments.
