Play Backgammon to Save the Whales The Maltsters Arms in Tuckenhay is holding a special "Steak or Sausages" fundraising event on the national RNLI fundraising day January 30, 2009. On this day, half of the incomes from the pub's special menu (steak & chips - £10, sausage & mash - £5) will be donated to the sea life saving charity. In addition, a Lifeboat collection box will be placed near the pub's collection of games (backgammon, darts, poker, dominoes, etc), hoping the players will get the hint.
The national RNLI fundraising day will include plenty of charity and British delicacy events around the UK such as the "Sizzle our Sausages" in Galway and "Sample our Salsa" in Cardiff, which will probably serve backgammon or other pub games near the beer.
