Mr. Backgammon Wins Meribel 2010UK backgammon player Chris Ternel, also known as "Mr. Backgammon", had won Meribel Backgammon 2010, held recently at the Alpine ski resort. Mr. Backgammon had won backgammon dynasty father Michel Serrero, who was compensated by winning the gang tournament. Raj Jansari, another resident of Great Britain had finished third, while current no. 1 backgammon giant and former world champion Masayuki Mochizuki of Japan finished fourth. Chris Ternel was also a member of the winning team of the Speedgammon event.Chris Ternel is one of the best backgammon players in the UK, winner of the first BIBA World Championship in 2009 and finalist in several international backgammon events. While living in Denmark, he founded the Danish Backgammon Federation (DbgF) and created the national league system. Ternel is also the owner of BG Shop, an online backgammon equipment store. More Results: Jose Rodriguez of Spain has won The Highest Little Backgammon Tournament and the finalist was Masayuki Mochizuki. Michihito Kageyama of Japan, no. 9 in the 2009 Giants of Backgammon list, has won the Super Jackpot. Raj Jansari has won a pair of skis at the free warm-up event. Peter Bennet, also of the UK, has championed the 8-players "after tournament tournament". Rassoul Rasti of Switzerland has won a luxury leather backgammon by Genesis Naylor. Bob Wachtel of the US has won the special "Good Sport Award".
