Therefore, Mike Main, the tournament manager turned it into an 8-player knockout tournament (a type of tournament divided into successive rounds with each player plays in one match for each round, in which the highest ranked players in each match move up to the next round until there is only one table left). Since there were 10 players who wanted to play for £10, and 2 more players who were happy to play for £2, a draw was done so that each and every entrant was happy. The entire Backgammon in the City event consisted of 4 tournaments. Raj Jansari, the winner was easily making his way to the Final Table.
