Backgammon in Camden - January Report

Backgammon in Camden held four events throughout January 2008. In all of them, there were less than 100 different people (of course, on top of the regulars), which is a lot more than the average UK backgammon club but much less than the standard local bridge or chess club. 

In his monthly newsletter, Mike Main, the director of BG in Camden, says he is not satisfied with the current number of backgammon players and he strives for 150 different players a month. 

Additionally, backgammon in Camden is still looking for a venue in London, which will host the backgammon club regular meetings. The last backgammon in Camden tournament took place at the King Stores, in the center of London. 

However, Backgammon in Camden do have a new minisite, Backgammon in London. The new website features updates from the BG in Camden news and tournaments as well as pictures of the regular backgammon players. 

The next backgammon tournament, by the way, is scheduled to Monday, February 11^th at 7 PM. The event will be held again at The King's Stores, at 14 Widegate Street, off Bishopsgate (near Liverpool Street Station), London.
